Turning a functional space into a charming, imaginative environment is one of architect Hana Lerner’s specialties. In this incredible changing room project, she brought an underwater world to life combining aesthetics, comfort, and creativity with the unique touch of Mooui wallpapers.
Designed for diaper-changing moments, the space features our Seas & Oceans and Pop Dots wallpapers — two MOOUI prints that bring so much joy to the room! While Seas & Oceans introduces marine elements like seashells, fish, and gentle waves, Pop Dots adds a timeless, cheerful dotted pattern that balances the design beautifully. Together, they create a vibrant, sensory experience that delights both children and parents.
Tips from the architect: How to mix wallpapers patterns
In this project, Hana shared expert tips on how to combine wallpapers with harmony and intention:

Choose one standout print. Here, the Seas & Oceans wallpaper on the walls and ceiling was the visual anchor that guided the color palette.

Use classic shapes and neutral patterns to balance the composition. She selected stripes, gingham, and polka dots — all in colors drawn from the main artwork.

Let the wallpaper interact with the space. On the floor, she used a tile-inspired geometric pattern. The counter mimics mini-check tiles, behind the round mirrors she added bold Yellow Stripes, and on the changing table, the playful Pop Dots entertain and engage the little ones.
This thoughtful approach proves how wallpapers can tell a story — when applied with intention and creativity.
